CSO welcomes new Core Musician
Charleston Symphony appoints Zach Wuorinen as Principal Bass

After a competitive national audition, the Charleston Symphony is pleased to announce Zach Wuorinen as Principal Bass.
Zach was a member of the Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestra and stayed in Ohio to earn his bachelor’s degree at Oberlin Conservatory. In 2026, Wuorinen earned his Master's Degree from the Shepherd School of Music and has performed with the Houston Symphony and Akron Symphony.
We are delighted to welcome Zach to the Charleston Symphony family as the newest member of our Core. His exceptional artistry will strengthen our ensemble, and we look forward to the energy, talent, and musical perspective he will bring to our stage and our community.
