CSO performs on July 4
The Charleston Symphony was proud to participate in the SC250 Charleston Independence Day Celebration at Joe Riley Waterfront Park.

Thousands of residents and visitors gathered downtown to enjoy live programming from the late afternoon into the night. Led by the CSO's own Yuriy Bekker, the orchestra took the stage for an evening of patriotic music, ending with a grand fireworks finale - one of the Southeast’s largest synchronized fireworks displays.

- Ranky Tanky — Opening performance rooted in Charleston’s Gullah Geechee traditions
- Lauren Hall — Featured musical performer with upbeat, crowd-pleasing songs
- The Blue Dogs — Southern rock/Americana performance
- Candice Glover — Featured vocalist performing with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra
- Darley Newman — Featured in short educational storytelling moments spotlighting South Carolina history, cultural milestones, and community narratives
