The Charleston Symphony announces an audition for:

(full-time resident core musician, tenure-track position, with chamber music & education/community engagement duties)

Audition Date: Monday, May 20, 2024

2024-25 Season: September 16, 2024 – April 27, 2025
(32 weeks total including 2 paid vacation weeks)
Employment to commence September 2024

2023-24 Season Minimum Annual Salary: $31,187
Full benefits package including health, dental, instrument, and disability insurance; paid personal and sick leave; CSO retirement vehicle with 6% employer matching contributions

Resumés will be screened by the audition committee, and all applicants will be notified via email by April 19 whether or not they have been invited to the audition. A $50 deposit check (required to reserve an audition time) must be received in Charleston by May 6. Audition reservation cancellations after May 13 will result in forfeiture of the audition deposit.

• In order to audition, a candidate must possess all documentation that allows him/her to work legally in the United States.
• Prior to being offered employment with the CSO, all potential employees are subject to the CSO’s administrative hiring procedures, including but not limited to reference checks, background checks, etc.
