Jenny Baldwin joined the Charleston Symphony in 2022 and serves as the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Director of Human Resources. In this dual role, Jenny is the primary liaison with the Board of Directors, managing all communications and logistics, while overseeing critical personnel functions such as payroll and benefits administration. Jenny is also responsible for maintaining the CSO’s office space to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

With a background in Elementary and Special Education from Furman University, Mrs. Baldwin grew up in a musical household, playing piano and singing. She spent over two decades as VP Operations for a yoga teacher training school before joining the Charleston Symphony.

Born and raised in Waynesville, North Carolina, Jenny currently resides in Mount Pleasant with her husband Mark Baldwin, married since 1995 they are proud parents to three musically and academically accomplished children: Jake, Makenna, and Wes. Jake, who holds a BA in Trumpet Performance from Carnegie Mellon University, and a MM in Trumpet Performance from New England Conservatory who is currently gaining professional experience playing in and around Charleston (he is a former student of both Michael Smith and Tony Marti); Makenna, who holds a BS in Animal and Veterinary Sciences and a Minor in Biological Science from Clemson University, and is currently pursuing her Veterinary Technician License while working at Park West Vet in Mount Pleasant; on the musical side, she sang in chorus from Elementary School through Clemson; Wes, a trombone playing Music Education and Music Composition major at Furman University and will graduate in 2027.

Outside of the office, Jenny continues to share her passion for fitness and yoga by teaching classes in Mount Pleasant, while also serving on the board of the Bands of Wando Foundation, which supports the band programs at Cario Middle, Laing Middle, and Wando High School.
