Fall Family Concert: Peter & the Wolf

A bright flute takes flight as the bird. An oboe waddles in as the duck. French horns signal that the wolf is near. In Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, every character has a musical voice, and every twist in the tale comes alive through the instruments of the Charleston Symphony.

Led by conductor Ryo Hasegawa, this imaginative family concert invites young listeners to hear the orchestra in a whole new way. Filled with playful characters, unforgettable melodies, and just the right amount of suspense, Peter and the Wolf is the perfect first concert experience, and a beloved musical adventure for the entire family.

With no intermission and a program designed for young attention spans, this concert is most enjoyed by audiences ages 5 and up.
